Champion Stats
Low elo players don't track your ammo count. They will trade with you when you have 4th shot primed, taking massive execute damage. They also underestimate the range of your W root. You can influence fights from a screen away, catching people out of position and allowing your team to collapse. His high AD scaling allows for 'one-shot' potential that other ADCs lack.
The Fourth Shot
Prepare your gun on the wave. Use 3 bullets on minions. Walk up to the enemy ADC with your 4th shot primed. Q (to bounce off 3 minions if possible) -> 4th Shot Auto. This combo is nearly unanswerable and chunks them for 30-40% HP. Retreat while reloading. You dictate the trading rhythm.
Your 4th shot always crits and deals missing HP damage. Use it on the jungler to steal objectives! A 4th shot + Smite (if you're Jungle Jhin, yes it's a thing) is an un-out-smiteable combo.
Ranking Jhin's Skins
'Dark Cosmic Jhin' is the masterpiece. The animations exhibit a smoothness and weight that feels impactful. The Ult music is sublime. 'High Noon' has the crispest auto-attack sound (gunshot) which helps with rhythm. 'PROJECT' is good but the voice filter puts some people off.
'Dark Cosmic' is the masterpiece; animations have weight and the Ult music is sublime. 'High Noon' has the crispest gunshot sound. 'PROJECT' is cool but the voice filter is divisive. Dark Cosmic is the premium experience.
When They Ban Jhin
Caitlyn offers similar sniper/trap gameplay. Varus provides poke and catch potential. Ashe offers utility. Caitlyn matches the 'long range lane bully' identity best.
Jhin's Keystone Choice
Fleet Footwork is essential. The movement speed burst upon attacking allows you to kite, chase, and space effectively (The Fast Jhin). Dark Harvest is the smurf option for scaling execution damage, but Fleet is safer. Presence of Mind / Alacrity / Coup de Grace. Sorcery secondary (Celerity + Gathering Storm) makes you run incredibly fast late game.
Skill Max Order for Jhin
Max Q for waveclear and trading damage. Max W second for root duration (essential for catches). E last (traps are utility).
Mastering Jhin's Kit
Dancing Grenade bounces 4 times. Damage increases if it KILLS the target. Setup the wave so it kills 3 minions then bounces to the champion for the 'Super Bounce' damage. It's unexpected burst.
Deadly Flourish roots enemies who have been damaged by you OR allies OR traps recently. Look for the mark on them. Use it to follow up on ally CC or to stop a fleeing enemy.
Captive Audience traps are invisible. Place them in choke points. If an enemy steps on one, W them immediately for a guaranteed root + trap explosion damage combo.
Curtain Call slows enemies. The 4th shot always crits and deals massive execute damage. Leading the target is key. If they flash the first shot, adjust. You can wait a long time between shots—don't panic fire.
The Jhin Matchup Sheet
Hard Counter. She jumps on you. You have to reload. She kills you. Stay max range. Exhaust helps.
Nightmare. He out-trades you at every stage. Do not fight him. Farm with Q/W.
Skill Matchup. Dodge his Qs. You hit harder per shot. Push him in so he can't poke freely.
Curtain Call Greed
Reloading effectively takes you out of the fight for 2 seconds. Do not position aggressively with 0 bullets. You are not Draven; you cannot sustain DPS. You are a caster-ADC. Space your autos. Also, stop holding 4th shot forever and missing CS; money > poke.
Your E traps grant vision and slow enemies. In a teamfight, place them near choke points to control their movement. A 4th shot on a target standing in a Jhin trap is often a guaranteed kill. Beauty is in the setup.
When Kiting Won't Save You
Dodge if facing Tristana or Twitch. They can jump on you/appear from stealth and DPS you down while you are reloading. You cannot win a DPS race against hypercarries. Hard engage supports like Leona also ruin your day if you don't have Cleanse.
The Kiting Dance
Backline sniper. Place traps (E) around your flanks to prevent dives. Use W to root anyone your teammates damage. Use R to start the fight (slow/pick) or end it (cleanup). In auto range, hit-and-run tactics: Auto -> Run back -> Auto. Use the movement speed from crits to dodge skillshots.
The Lethality Jhin Build
The Fast Build. Stormrazor -> Rapid Firecannon -> Phantom Dancer -> Runaan's (for the Move Speed stats). You run at 700 MS every time you crit. It's impossible to hit you with skillshots. It's arguably troll but incredibly fun for kiting immobile juggernauts.

When Jhin Comes Online
Stormrazor completion gives you the mobility to outplay. Level 11 and 16 Ultimate ranks increase the damage significantly. Your 4th shot execute damage scales harder than almost anything else late game. You are the finisher.
The Curtain Call Snipe
Type 'Four.' in all chat every time you kill someone with the 4th shot. If you miss your Ult shots, stop R early to save face. Use the Curtain Call to zone enemies off Dragon even if you don't shoot—the fear of the sniper makes them scatter.
