Duo or Dodge?

Enter two summoner names. We'll compare your stats and tell you if this duo is a free win or a hostage situation.

Should You Duo Queue in League of Legends?

Duo queue can be the fastest way to climb — or the fastest way to tank your LP. The difference comes down to three things: MMR gap, role compatibility, and whether both players are actually winning games. Our duo checker compares two players head-to-head and gives you a straight answer based on real data, not vibes.

How MMR Gap Affects Duo Queue

When you duo with someone significantly higher or lower than you, Riot adjusts your lobby MMR upward. The lower-ranked player faces tougher opponents, and the higher-ranked player gets reduced LP gains. A gap of 200 MMR or less is ideal. Over 400 and you're actively hurting each other's climb. Check your hidden MMR before you queue up.

Role Conflicts Kill Duos

If you both main the same role, one of you is getting autofilled every game. That's not a duo, that's a coin flip with extra steps. The best duos are bot lane + support, mid + jungle, or top + jungle — roles that can directly impact each other's lane.

When to Dodge Instead of Duo

If both players are on a losing streak, both below 48% winrate, or have a 600+ MMR gap — just don't. You're better off solo queueing and fixing your own gameplay first. Use the climb calculator to see how many games you actually need at your current winrate, and check if a fresh smurf account might give you a cleaner start.
