Brand ARAM Build — Watch the World Burn on the Howling Abyss
Brand is an ARAM monster. His passive burns through entire teams, his ult bounces between grouped enemies, and Liandry's turns him into a tank-melting machine. Here's how to build him for maximum chaos.
Brand in ARAM is basically playing with cheat codes. The enemy team is always grouped on the narrow bridge, which means your ult bounces between all 5 of them. Your passive applies to everyone you hit, so one good combo can set the entire enemy team on fire. And unlike Summoner's Rift where you have to land skillshots on mobile targets, ARAM's tight space makes Brand's abilities almost impossible to dodge.
His win rate in ARAM consistently sits above 55%, and it's not because Brand players are skilled — it's because the game mode is designed for him. Constant teamfights, grouped enemies, and no way to escape the burn damage.
Best Brand ARAM Runes
Primary: Domination
Dark Harvest — Brand stacks this faster than almost any champion. Your passive burn procs Dark Harvest, your ult hits multiple targets, and you're in constant teamfights. By 15 minutes you'll have 20+ stacks and your burst becomes absurd.
Cheap Shot — Your W slows, which procs Cheap Shot for bonus true damage. Every W+Q combo gets free damage.
Eyeball Collection — Free AP from takedowns. You'll max this out in 10 minutes.
Ultimate Hunter — Lower ult cooldown means more teamfight-winning ults. Brand's ult is his identity in ARAM.
Secondary: Precision
Presence of Mind — Brand burns through mana fast. Presence of Mind keeps you casting in extended fights.
Coup de Grace — Extra damage to low-HP targets. Your burn brings them low, Coup de Grace finishes them.
Why not Arcane Comet? Comet is fine, but Dark Harvest scales harder in ARAM. You're not laning, you're teamfighting from minute one. Dark Harvest gives you actual kill pressure that Comet can't match once you have 15+ stacks.
Best Brand ARAM Items
Core Build (in order)
Liandry's Anguish — This is non-negotiable. Liandry's burn stacks with Brand's passive burn. Tanks with 4000 HP melt in seconds. The ability haste and mana are perfect for Brand too.
Sorcerer's Shoes — Magic penetration boots. More damage on every ability.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter — Every ability slows. Your ult bounces slow everyone it hits. Your passive burn slows. Rylai's turns Brand into a perma-slow machine that nobody can escape.
Void Staff — Once the enemy starts building magic resist, Void Staff becomes mandatory. The 40% magic penetration makes your burn damage relevant again.
Situational 5th & 6th Items
Zhonya's Hourglass — If you're getting dove by assassins or bruisers. Ult the enemy team, Zhonya's, watch your ult bounce while you're invulnerable.
Morellonomicon — If they have heavy healing (Soraka, Yuumi, Mundo). Your passive applies Grievous Wounds to everyone you burn.
Shadowflame — If they're stacking HP but not magic resist. The magic penetration against low-HP targets helps you one-shot squishies.
Banshee's Veil — Against heavy CC comps. The spell shield lets you survive one engage tool.
Don't build Luden's Echo on Brand in ARAM. Liandry's is always better. Brand's passive already applies burn damage over time, and Liandry's amplifies that. Luden's gives you burst, but Brand doesn't need burst — he needs sustained burn damage that melts tanks and squishies alike.
Ability Order
Max W first (Pillar of Flame), then E (Conflagration), then Q (Sear). Take R at 6, 11, 16.
W is your primary damage and waveclear. It has the lowest cooldown and highest base damage. In ARAM, you're spamming W on cooldown to poke and waveclear.
E second because it spreads your passive to nearby enemies. In ARAM where everyone is grouped, E can spread your burn to 3-4 people instantly.
Q is one point wonder. It's your stun, but the damage scaling isn't worth maxing over W or E. Use Q to stun targets who already have your passive applied.
ARAM-Specific Tips
Your ult prioritizes targets with your passive. If you ult someone who has your passive (Blaze), the ult will prioritize bouncing to other targets with your passive. This means you can E the enemy team to spread Blaze, then ult for maximum bounces.
W+E combo is safer than W+Q. Most Brand players try to land W+Q for the stun. In ARAM, that's risky because you're using your only CC offensively. Instead, W+E applies your passive to multiple targets and lets you save Q for peeling divers.
Passive stacking: Brand's passive detonates after 3 stacks, dealing massive %HP damage. In ARAM, you can stack passive on the entire enemy team. W hits everyone, E spreads to nearby targets, Q stuns, R bounces. One full combo can detonate passive on 3-4 people.
Ult timing: Don't ult the tank. Ult the squishy in the middle of their team. The ult will bounce to nearby targets, and if you've already applied your passive with W+E, the bounces prioritize spreading to everyone.
Positioning: Brand has no mobility. Stand behind your team, spam W on cooldown, and save Q for anyone who dives you. If you're in front of your team, you're dead.
When Brand is Strong vs Weak in ARAM
Brand dominates against grouped comps and tanks. If the enemy has 2+ tanks or bruisers, your Liandry's + passive burn will melt them. He's also great against immobile comps who can't dodge your W.
He struggles against long-range poke comps (Xerath, Ziggs, Lux). They outrange you and poke you down before you can get in range to combo. He's also weak against hard-engage assassins (Zed, Talon, Fizz) who can dive past your team and one-shot you.
He's weakest in the first 5 minutes before Liandry's. Once you have Liandry's, you're a monster. Once you have Rylai's, you're unkillable because nobody can escape your slows.
