Champion Stats
Low elo players don't respects Syndra's Dark Spheres (Q). They will let her spawn multiple balls near them, not realizing it sets up a massive AOE stun. They also walk into her range with 70% HP, which is her 'ultimate-deletion' threshold. A smurf can use a perfectly-angled E-stun to catch three or four people from over a wall, winning a teamfight before it even starts.
The Sphere Poke
Start Q (Dark Sphere). Level 1, your Q is on a very short cooldown. Every time the enemy walks up to last hit, spawn a sphere on them. Level 2 with E (Scatter the Weak) gives you the 'Q-E' stun combo. If you land it early, you can ignite and force a Flash or a kill.
Your passive 'Transcendent' gives your abilities bonuses at 40/60/80/100/120 splinters. Your Q gets two charges at max. Your E gets a wider cone. Collect splinters, become a goddess. Power is yours.
The Syndra Skin Tier List
'Justicar Syndra' is the classic 'try-hard' Main skin—the unique visuals and 'holy' theme are perfect. 'Spirit Blossom Syndra' is a top-tier choice with amazing modern animations. 'Star Guardian Syndra' is a fun, flashy choice. Avoid 'Queen of Diamonds Syndra' as it's very basic.
'Justicar' is for the legends. 'Spirit Blossom' for the beauty. 'Star Guardian' for the sparkles. 'Coven' for the dark ritual. Syndra is style and power—choose your aura and lead.
'Spirit Blossom' is gorgeous. 'Star Guardian' is classic. 'Justicar' is for the mains. Spirit Blossom has the best ball visuals.
When They Ban Syndra
Orianna commands ball. Viktor commands laser. Vex commands shadow. Orianna matches the 'ball control' aspect.
Orianna for the control. Viktor for the burst. Vex for the anti-dash. Orianna matches the 'ball control' Mage style.
Runes That Work on Syndra
Electrocute is the best choice for maximizing your lane burst and kill pressure. First Strike is an alternative for faster gold scaling in easier matchups. Secondary Inspiration with Magical Footwear and Cosmic Insight for cooldowns.
Leveling Syndra's Abilities
Max Q first—the passive upgrade gives it bonus damage against champions. Max E second for the reduced cooldown and the massive stun duration upgrade. Max W last for the true damage component upgrade.
Mastering Syndra's Kit
Dark Sphere. Syndra conjures a ball of energy that deals magic damage. It remains on the field for several seconds. This is your primary damage and setup tool.
Force of Will. Syndra picks up a sphere or a minion and throws it at an enemy, dealing damage and slowing. Use this to reposition Spheres for a better E-angle.
Scatter the Weak. Syndra knocks back enemies and spheres in a cone. Spheres that hit enemies stun them. This is one of the best CC tools in the game—learn the long-range 'Q-E' stun.
Unleashed Power. Syndra bombards an enemy with all active Dark Spheres, plus three she carries. Each ball deals magic damage. Use this with as many active spheres as possible!
Matchups That Matter for Syndra
Hard Counter. His E (Playful/Trickster) can dodge your Q, E, and R. You have to wait for him to waste it or poke him down safely from range. Never use your R while his E is up.
Skill Matchup. You can poke him early, but post-6 his R is a nightmare. Use your E to push him away after he reappears from his shadow. A Zhonya's is mandatory early game.
Easy Matchup. You out-range her with your Q-E combo and can burst her much faster. As long as you dodge her Q-bind, you win every trade and can kill her Level 6 instantly.
Ult Sphere Count
Stop wasting your E! Scatter the Weak is your only self-peel and your most important CC tool. If you use it and miss, you're an easy target for a gank. Also, count your spheres! Your R deals more damage based on how many balls are on the field—don't ult with only 3 balls if you can have 7! Also, don't miss your W-pickup, it's vital for resetting the ball duration.
Always keep 2 spheres out before you R. Q-W-Q-R. That's a 5-sphere minimum. If you can reach 7, even tanks will melt. Your R is a point-and-click delete button. Use it on the problem child.
When They Outrange You
Dodge if facing heavy 'assassin' or 'jump-on-me' comps with Zed, Fizz, or Nocturne if your team has no peel. They can dodge your E and kill you. Also dodge into Vladimir who can pool your ultimate.
Xerath/Vel'Koz/Lux. You have to walk up to Q. They don't. Buy boots early. Dodge until 6. Flash-E-R them.
Dodge Xerath/Vel'Koz. They poke you out before you can press R. Also heavy assassin comps (Zed/Fizz) if you don't trust your E timing.
The Backline Artillery
In teamfights, you are a backline-picking machine. Use Q to spawn spheres and stay behind your frontline. Look for an angle to land a multi-man E-stun. Once a squishy is caught, use R (Unleashed Power) to delete them. After your R, use E again to stun the entire team with the resulting 'wall' of balls. You are the sovereign who dictates the fight from a distance.
Balls everywhere. E stun through a wall. R the carry. If you miss E, back off. You are vulnerable for 15 seconds.
The Burst Mage Build
Full AP 'One-Button' Syndra. Luden's Tempest -> Shadowflame -> Rabadon's Deathcap. With this build, your R with 6-7 balls will literally one-shot an ADC from full health without even needing to land a Q or W first. It's hilarious to see someone disappear with zero counterplay. Maximum BM, high-risk.
Luden's and Shadowflame into Rabadon's. You are the definition of a 'one-rotation' mage. Land the stun, and they die. If they don't, your R will finish them. High-impact, low-mercy gaming. Empower yourself.
Syndra's Strongest Moments
Level 6 is your biggest solo-kill spike. Level 13 (Q and E max) is your peak teamfight spike due to the massive CC and damage upgrades. Your biggest item spike is reaching Luden's and Sorcerer's Shoes, which makes your poke and burst feel oppressive.
Level 6. Q-upgrade. E-upgrade. And finally, the 120-splinter execution. Syndra's scaling is insane now. By 40 minutes, you're a god. Don't lose your focus; stay behind your spheres.
Level 6 (Delete button). Level 9 (Q max). 120 Splinters (Execute R). You scale incredibly hard now. Be patient.
The 7-Sphere Delete
Type 'So much untapped power!' in all-chat after an R-one-shot. Spam the 'laugh' emote while catching someone with a long-range stun. The sight of 7 spheres flying towards an ADC is a psychological trigger for rage-quitting.
Once you hit 120 splinters, your R executes low-HP targets. This makes you the ultimate cleanup crew. One Q-E-R can clear a backline. You're the most dangerous person on the map—remind them. Untapped power.
Stack spheres. R the ADC. Watch them disappear. Type 'Outplayed' (it was point and click). The 100-0 burst is unfair and you love it.
