Why High-Elo Players Smurf with Kled
Low elo players don't understand Kled's courage bar. They will try to dive a dismounted Kled, only for him to Q-shotgun and AA-spam back into a full-health remount, killing them both. They also fail to respect his R (Chaaaaaaaarge!!!) which acts as a global engagement tool that brings his entire team along for a guaranteed fight. He is the king of the 'never-retreat' playstyle.
The Level 1 Cheese
First Blood Strategy
Start Q (Bear Trap on a Rope). Land the Q and wait for the pull damage. If the enemy walks up, you can out-trade almost anyone with your passive health pool. Level 2 with W (Violent Tendencies) is your massive opening—the 4 fast auto-attacks will chunk 70% of an enemy's HP instantly.
The 'Pay-to-Win' Skin Advantage
'Sir Kled' is the classic 'noble' smurf skin—the bird-Skaarl and the dialogue are hilarious. 'Count Kledula' offers amazing seasonal effects. 'Marauder Kled' is a great 'serious' choice for aggressive players. Avoid 'Kled Sir Kled' unless you want the absolute basic look.

Rune Setup
Best Runes: Conqueror is the best choice for maximizing your damage and healing during your remount window. Press the Attack is an alternative for even faster burst. Secondary Resolve with Bone Plating and Overgrowth to survive the initial burst while dismounted.
Skill Priority
Order:
Q → W → EMax Q first—it's your primary damage, pull, and courage-stacking tool. Max W second for the massive attack speed and damage spikes. Max E last as the mobility is sufficient with levels.
Mastering Kled's Kit
Bear Trap on a Rope / Pocket Pistol. Mounted: Kled throws a trap that deals damage and pulls the enemy. Dismounted: Kled fires a shotgun that knocks him back and builds courage. Use the shotgun to remount!
Violent Tendencies. Passive: Every few seconds, Kled's next 4 basic attacks gain massive attack speed and deal bonus damage. This is his primary source of burst—don't waste it!
Jousting. (Mounted Only) Kled dashes forward, dealing damage and gaining movement speed. He can cast it again if he hits a champion. Use this to stick to carries.
Chaaaaaaaarge!!!. Kled charges to a location, building a shield and creating a path that grants movement speed to allies. He automatically targets the first enemy champion hit. Pure initiate energy.
Matchup Tips
Hard Counter. She can parry your Q-pull and her true damage ignores Skaarl's high health pool. You have to win the trade level 2 before she can react or you lose.
Vs Jax
Hard Matchup. His E (Counter Strike) blocks your entire W-burst. You have to bait his E or wait for it to end before you can commit to the fight.
Easy Matchup. You can easily out-stat him early game. Your Q-pull breaks his shield and your W-burst deletes his health. Just walk at him and win.
The Ego Check
WARNING: Stop missing your Q while dismounted! It's your only way to build courage from range. If you miss that shotgun, you will never remount in time. Also, don't waste your W on minions! Wait for it to be ready before you engage, as it's your only source of real DPS. Also, Kled is always right!
When to Queue Dodge
Dodge if facing heavy 'percentage health' or 'anti-dive' comps with Fiora, Vayne, or Janna if your team has no other engage. Fiora especially can parry your Q and delete Skaarl's HP. Also dodge into Jax who can block your W-spam.
Teamfight Role
In teamfights, you are the ultimate initiator. Use your R (Chaaaaaaaarge!!!) to pick a target and lead your team in. Once you're in, E onto the carry, land your Q, and let your W do the work. If you dismount, focus everything on the champion to remount as fast as possible. Your job is to create chaos and never back down. You are the leader of the charge.
The 'Disrespect' Build
Full Lethality 'No-Skaarl' Kled. Youmuu's Ghostblade -> Collector -> Prowler's Claw. With this build, your dismounted Q and W will literally one-shot people. It's hilarious to see a tiny Kled deleting champions without his lizard. Maximum BM, high-risk, 100% courage.
Power Windows
Level 2 is your first massive kill window with the Q-W trade. Level 6 is your global engagement spike. Your biggest item spike is reaching Titanic Hydra or Eclipse, which grants you the burst or sustain needed to survive the dismount.
Tilt Factor
Type 'GET OFF MY PROPERTY' in all-chat after a successful 1v2 remount play. Spam the 'laugh' emote while running at someone with R. The sound of Kled's trumpet during his ultimate is a signal of impending doom for the enemy team.
