Champion Stats
Low elo players are used to the 'afk farm for Package' Corki. They do not respect his new early-game damage. Your passive deals bonus True Damage on every auto-attack, meaning they literally cannot itemize against you effectively in the early levels. His E (Gatling Gun) shreds massive amounts of Armor and MR, allowing you to win extended trades against almost any mage or marksman. A smurf abuses this calculated aggression to snowball before the enemy realizes they can't simply build Plated Steelcaps to survive.
The Early Harass
Start E (Gatling Gun). It is arguably the strongest level 1 fighting ability in the mid lane. If an enemy Melee champion (like Yasuo or Yone) walks up to the wave, activate E and auto-attack them. You will shred their resistances and deal mixed damage that they cannot mitigate. Against ranged, use Q (Phosphorus Bomb) for instant poke, but look for the E-all-in at level 2.
E shred is no joke level 1. Most mid-laners will try to auto you back and realize they're losing 15% armor/MR per second. Use that to force them off the first three minions. You win the early push 100% of the time.
Which Corki Skin to Use
'Corgi Corki' is the undisputed pay-to-win smurf skin; the model is smaller, the animations are smoother, and the 'butt-waggle' on movement is the ultimate tilt tool. 'Red Baron Corki' commands respect as a vintage flex. 'Astronaut Corki' has very clean, subtle skillshot animations that can catch enemies off guard.
'Corgi' is the only one. The 'waddle' and the dog plane are peak League of Legends. 'Red Baron' is for the OGs. 'Astronaut' has some nice subtle rocket VFX. Avoid the default—it feels like playing a dated minion.
When They Ban Corki
Tristana is the best AD Mid backup. Jayce if you want the poke but don't mind the melee commitment. Smolder if you want to scale. If you pick Tristana, don't forget you can actually jump *into* people—Corki W is for escaping.
Tristana offers the same 'AD Mid' push-and-jump playstyle. Jayce brings similar poke and all-in versatility. Smolder scales into a late-game execute monster. Tristana is the most direct aggressive replacement.
Optimal Runes for Corki
Press the Attack is the new standard for maximizing his lane bullies potential and shred. Hail of Blades is a viable alternative for burst trades against squishies. Secondary Inspiration with Biscuits and Jack of All Trades (if building multiple stats) or Sorcery for pure scaling.
Corki's Ability Priority
Max Q first for the raw burst and waveclear. Max E second for the resistance shred, which becomes more valuable as enemies gain base stats. Max W last as it is primarily a repositioning tool.
Mastering Corki's Kit
Phosphorus Bomb. Corki fires a bomb that reveals the area and deals magic damage. It's instant—use it to check brushes or secure cannon minions instantly.
Valkyrie. Corki dashes a short distance, leaving a trail of fire. It's your only escape. Save it for dodging key abilities like hooks or binds.
Gatling Gun. Corki sprays bullets in a cone, dealing damage and shredding both Armor and Magic Resist. This is your 'I win the 1v1' button. Keep the enemy in the cone.
Missile Barrage. Corki fires a missile. Every 3rd missile is 'The Big One' dealing massive damage massive AoE. Store these up for poke or waveclear.
Corki's Lane Opponents
Nightmare. Do not pick Corki into Irelia. She heals off your damage and out-mobilities you. Dodge or play under tower.
Skill Matchup. You can match his waveclear. If he shuffles, buffer your W to dash away. You win the extended DPS check if you land E.
Hard. Rank 1 he is weak, but once he gets items he bursts you. exhaust is mandatory. Rush Plated Steelcaps if he gets ahead.
Irelia is basically unplayable if she has hands. She can Q your minions to gap close faster than you can Valkyrie away. If she lands her E, you die or blow Flash. Your only hope is to freeze near your tower and poke with R. If you push past river, you're just free 300g for her.
Greedy Auto Syndrome
Stop Valkyrie-ing (W) into 5 people! You lost 'The Package'—you are no longer an engage champion. You are a short-range marksman/caster. Use W to kite back or chase a guaranteed kill, never to start a teamfight. Also, don't forget to weave auto-attacks between your missiles (R); your Sheen procs and passive true damage are 50% of your DPS.
Your W has a long cooldown. If you use it to chase and don't get the kill, you're dead on the next gank. Discipline is what wins with Corki., not the passenger.
When the Dive Is Unstoppable
Dodge Irelia. She dashes to you, you W away, she dashes again. You die. LeBlanc is also miserable as she bursts you faster than you can shred her.
Irelia will make you regret ever loading into the game. She'll dash through your W and reset on your face. LeBlanc is equally annoying. If you see them, buy an early Hexdrinker. It's the only way to survive the lane.
Dodge Irelia. She dashes to you, you W away, she dashes again. You die. LeBlanc is also miserable as she bursts you faster than you can shred her. These lanes are unplayable without a camp.
Staying Alive While Dealing Damage
In teamfights, you play front-to-back. Use your E to shred the enemy frontline's armor/MR, allowing your ADC (and yourself) to melt them. Spam R to poke before the fight starts. Once the key cooldowns are blown, use W to reposition aggressively and clean up. You are a consistent damage output machine, not a suicider.
Use your rockets to keep your Trinity Force stacks up. Always have a 'Big One' ready for the objective fight. Positioning is key—stay on the edges and use your W only when someone dives you. You aren't the engage.
The On-Hit Build
Full AD Crit 'True-Shot' Corki. Trinity Force -> Collector -> Infinity Edge -> Rapid Firecannon. The Collector execute combined with your True Damage passive makes it feel like you are cheating. One Crit-Auto-R-Q combo will delete a carry from existence.
Manamune is still core for the mana and scaling. Trinity into RFC for the safe poke. If they have three tanks, Void Staff is actually good because of your passive magic conversion. Mixed damage is your secret weapon.

Timing Corki's All-Ins
Level 1-3 is your new dominance window. Sheen completion is your first huge spike. Level 11/16 R upgrades turn you into a siege monster. You don't have the massive 'Package Spike' anymore, so you must play for consistent pressure.
The 'Package' is gone, so your mid-game 'winning button' is gone too. Play for the 3-item spike. That's when your rockets start to actually chunk. Level 16 R makes you a siege god—use it to end the game.
Level 1-3 is your dominance window with E shred. Sheen completion is your first huge spike. Level 11 and 16 R upgrades turn you into a siege monster. You don't have the 'Package' anymore, so play for consistent poke.
The Late Game Carry
Spam the 'Corgi Strut' (Ctrl+3) after every solo kill. Type 'Incoming!' in all-chat just before a Big One rocket hits. Dominating lane with a champion considered 'boring' is the ultimate way to break an opponent's spirit.
Typing 'Target Acquired' in all-chat before a Big One kills someone is maximum BM. Your champion looks harmless but deals absurd damage late game. Use that underestimation to your advantage.
Spam the 'Corgi Strut' (Ctrl+3) after every solo kill. Type 'Incoming!' in all-chat just before a Big One rocket hits. Dominating lane with a champion considered 'boring' lowers their mental resilience.
