Ashe ARAM Build — Perma-Slow Utility ADC with Global Engage
Ashe in ARAM is a utility ADC who slows everyone she touches. Her passive slows on every auto, her W pokes from max range, and her R engages from across the map. Here's how to dominate with the Frost Archer.
Ashe in ARAM is one of the most consistent ADCs in the game. Her passive (Frost Shot) slows on every auto-attack, which means nobody can escape once you start hitting them. Her W (Volley) pokes from 1200 range and slows the entire enemy team. And her R (Enchanted Crystal Arrow) is a global stun that can engage fights from your fountain.
Her win rate in ARAM sits around 51-52%. She's not flashy, but she's reliable. The narrow bridge makes her W hit multiple targets every time, and constant teamfights mean her R is always valuable for engage or peel.
Best Ashe ARAM Runes
Primary: Precision
Lethal Tempo — Ashe scales with attack speed. Lethal Tempo gives you extended range and massive attack speed in fights, letting you perma-slow entire teams.
Presence of Mind — Ashe is mana-hungry. Presence of Mind restores mana on takedowns, keeping you casting W through extended fights.
Legend: Bloodline — Lifesteal keeps you alive in teamfights. Ashe has no mobility, so sustain is crucial.
Coup de Grace — Extra damage to low-HP targets. Your slows keep enemies in range for executes.
Secondary: Sorcery
Manaflow Band — More mana for W spam. Ashe burns through mana fast.
Gathering Storm — Free AD over time. ARAM games go long, so Gathering Storm gives you scaling.
Why not Hail of Blades? Hail of Blades is fine for burst, but Lethal Tempo scales harder in ARAM. The extended range and sustained attack speed let you perma-slow entire teams. Hail is better for short trades, but ARAM is all extended teamfights.
Best Ashe ARAM Items
Core Build (in order)
Kraken Slayer — True damage on every third auto. Ashe attacks fast, so Kraken procs constantly. This is your core item.
Berserker's Greaves — Attack speed boots. More autos = more slows = more Kraken procs.
Phantom Dancer — Attack speed, crit, and movement speed. The movement speed helps you kite with your slows.
Infinity Edge — Your autos can crit. IE makes those crits hit 40% harder. This is your biggest power spike.
Situational 5th & 6th Items
Lord Dominik's Regards — If they have 2+ tanks stacking armor. You'll need this most games.
Bloodthirster — If you need more lifesteal and a shield. The shield helps you survive burst.
Guardian Angel — If you're the only carry. Revive, keep slowing.
Mortal Reminder — If they have heavy healing. The Grievous Wounds applies on your autos and W.
Don't build Imperial Mandate on Ashe in ARAM. Imperial Mandate is a support item. You're not supporting — you're the ADC. Kraken Slayer gives you way more damage. Leave Mandate for actual supports.
Ability Order
Max W first (Volley), then Q (Ranger's Focus), then E (Hawkshot). Take R at 6, 11, 16.
W is your primary poke and waveclear. In ARAM, W hits the entire enemy team from max range. Lower cooldown means more poke.
Q second for the attack speed steroid. Q gives you massive attack speed for 4 seconds, which synergizes with Lethal Tempo.
E is one point wonder. The vision is nice, but the scaling isn't worth maxing.
ARAM-Specific Tips
Your R is a global stun. Ashe's Enchanted Crystal Arrow has infinite range and stuns for up to 3.5 seconds based on distance traveled. Use R to engage fights from your fountain, or to peel divers off your team. The stun duration increases the further it travels.
Your passive slows on every auto. Ashe's Frost Shot slows enemies by 20% on every auto-attack. This stacks with your W slow. Once you start hitting someone, they can't escape. Use this to kite and chase.
W poke: Ashe's W fires 9 arrows in a cone. In ARAM, the enemy team is always grouped, so your W hits all 5 of them. Use W on cooldown to poke before fights start.
Q timing: Ashe's Q gives you massive attack speed for 4 seconds. Don't waste Q on minions — save it for teamfights. Activate Q when you're in range to auto-attack enemies.
Positioning: Ashe has 600 range. You're longer range than most ADCs. Stay behind your team, auto the closest target, and use your slows to kite. If you're in front of your team, you're dead.
When Ashe is Strong vs Weak in ARAM
Ashe dominates against immobile comps and melee-heavy teams. If the enemy has no gap closers, your slows will kite them forever. She's also great against engage-heavy comps — your R can peel divers off your team.
She struggles against long-range poke comps (Xerath, Ziggs, Lux) who outrange you and poke you down. She's also weak against hard-dive assassins (Zed, Talon, Fizz) who can dive past your team and one-shot you before you can R.
She's weakest in the first 10 minutes before Kraken and Phantom Dancer. Once you have both items, you're a monster. Once you have IE, you're unkillable because your slows let you kite forever.
