Champion Stats
Low elo players cannot hit moving targets reliably, and Zeri with 500+ movement speed during her ultimate is literally impossible for them to catch or land skillshots on. They also chase her near walls, giving her free E escape angles and re-engage opportunities. They have no idea how much damage her W does when it hits a wall and expands into a laser. A smurf kites circles around the entire enemy team, slowly whittling everyone down with Q as they hopelessly chase, until the pentakill is secured through pure kiting mastery.
The Burst Fire
Start Q (Burst Fire). Important distinction: your right-click 'auto-attack' (Zap) is a magic damage execute for low HP targets and for stealing shields, but your Q is your actual damage source. Q is a skillshot that counts as an auto-attack for on-hit effects. At Level 1, use Q to poke the enemy whenever they walk up to CS—it has decent range and they won't expect the damage. Save your charged Passive auto for trading when they engage on you. You outrange most ADCs at Level 1 if you're actively spacing with Q.
Zeri's Best Skins
'Withered Rose Zeri' is clean. 'Ocean Song' includes water effects. 'Immortal Journey' is flashy. Default Zeri is actually very smooth.
'Withered Rose' for the elegance. 'Ocean Song' for the summer-vibe. 'Immortal Journey' for the magic. Zeri is about the energy—pick the color that sparks the most. Zap! Win.
'Withered Rose' is elegant. 'Ocean Song' is wavy. 'Immortal Journey' is flashy. Withered Rose feels the sharpest for Q aiming.
When They Ban Zeri
If Zeri is gone, Jinx is the best 'hyper-carry-reset' pivot. If you want more dashes, Lucian. But nothing matches the 'Q-AA' rhythm. The spark is elsewhere today.
Jinx for the excited reset. Kai'Sa for the hybrid mobility. Sivir for the kite. Jinx is the immobile version of the 'pentakill reset'.
Best Runes for Zeri
Lethal Tempo. Triumph, Alacrity, Last Stand. Secondary Resolve (Conditioning/Overgrowth) for tankiness while zooming. Fleet Footwork for harder lanes.
Zeri's Skill Order
Max Q (Damage). Max E (Mobility). W last.
Mastering Zeri's Kit
Burst Fire. Fires 7 rounds. Counts as auto-attack. Cooldown scales with AS. Aim it!
Ultrashock Laser. Zap slow. If it hits a wall, expands into a long range laser (Crit).
Spark Surge. Dash. Skims along walls (infinite range). Empowers next 3 Qs to pierce.
Lightning Crash. AOE explosion. Grants 'Overcharged'. Gain Attack Speed, Move Speed, and Chain Lightning on hit. Stacking speed.
Zeri's Best & Worst Matchups
Hard. You can't trade with him. He 2-taps you. Farm safe.
Skill. It's a skillshot war. You are faster, so you should win.
Annoying. Her slow ruins your speed. Cleanse/Ghost is mandatory.
Ult Stacking Greed
Stop missing Q! Unlike every other ADC, your Q is a skillshot that you must aim manually every single time. If you miss Q, you deal zero damage that auto-attack. Aim carefully at the enemy's predicted position, not their current position. Also, don't use E aggressively into a full enemy team just because you can slide over a wall. Your E is your only escape tool—if you waste it going in and your ultimate runs out, you're a sitting duck. Use wall-rides for flanking or escaping, not for inting. The wall-slide is flashy, but dying after it is not.
When the Dive Is Unstoppable
Dodge Vayne or Twitch. Point and click damage kills you. You can't dodge their autos.
Vi R. Nautilus R. Point-click CC is your death. Stay out of vision until they use it.
Dodge Vayne/Twitch. You can't dodge autos. They out-dps you. Also Vi/Nautilus. Point-click CC kills the mosquito. Stay away.
Staying Alive While Dealing Damage
In teamfights, press R immediately to get Overcharged. Stack movement speed by hitting Qs. Kite backwards. Use E to reposition if they dash on you. Use charged W for a snipe/slow. You are a mosquitoes that stings like a truck. Never stop moving.
You're a mobile machine-gun. Your Q is your auto-attack. Move, hit, move, hit. Stack that speed with your R 'Lightning Crash'. If you stop moving, you're dead. Zap! Win.
R adds movement speed. Stack it. Q-kite back. W wall-snipe. E wall-ride. You are annoying. If they catch you, you messed up.
The Runaan's Zeri Build
Bruiser Zeri. Titanic Hydra -> Runaan's -> Black Cleaver. You are fast, you have 3000 HP, and you still deal damage. Unkillable demon.
Kraken into Navori into Runaan's. You want to hit everyone at once. Your E-shield-steal makes you the perfect counter to enchanters. You're a high-voltage carry—electrify the competition. Spark it.
Shiv -> Runaan's -> IE. Lightning everywhere. You hit everyone. Teamfights are a light show. You are the main character.
Zeri's Power Spikes
Level 6. Two Items (Shiv/IE or Kraken/Navori). Late game max stacks R.
Level 6 for the lightning-steroid. 2-item crit spike. Level 16 for the infinite-speed dream. By late game, you're a blur that can't be hit. If you have a Yuumi, you're a god. Lighting strikes once. or 50 times.
Level 6 (R). 2 Items (Crit spike). Late game max stacks. You are weak early. Farm. Scale. Win.
The Lightning Rush
Spam 'I am lightning!' emotes. Running circles around a Darius who can't reach you is max tilt. Use the wall-ride to gank mid from bot lane.
Wall-ride (E) to escape or engage. It's the best movement tool in the bot lane. Snipe with your laser-W over walls. You're a mosquito with a railgun. Be annoying, be fast, be Zeri.
Use E over walls to flank. R to start the fight. Run them down. Type 'I am speed' in chat. Make them dizzy.
