Champion Stats
Low Elo players do not understand 'Grounding'. They walk into your W (Miasma) and frantically press Flash or Dash, realize nothing is happening, and die. They also disrespect her Level 2 kill pressure. If you land one Q, you follow up with infinite E's. A smurf abuses the 'Scripting' accusations—your kiting should be so perfect that they stop playing to type 'nice scripts' in chat.
The Poison Trade
The 'E-Start' Poke. Start E (Twin Fang). Walk to lane and auto-attack the enemy. If they trade back, E them. Your E deals bonus damage if they are poisoned, but even without poison, it's a reliable last-hitting and poke tool. The Real Cheese is Level 2. Start E, then Q. Land Q -> Spam E. The moment Q lands, you gain Movement Speed and they melt. Run them down.
Start E for the easy last-hitting, but Level 2 is where the lane is won. Land the Q, then mash E. If they don't have mobility, they're either burning Flash or dying. Early mana is a struggle—buy a Tear on your first back or you'll be a sitting duck.
Cassiopeia's Best Skins
'Spirit Blossom Cassiopeia' is the pay-to-win choice; the sound effects are smoother and the R animation is slightly more deceptive/subtle. 'Coven Cassiopeia' is visually stunning but the R screech is a dead giveaway. 'Eternum' feels sharp for kiting.
'Spirit Blossom' has the most deceptive R animation. The wind-up looks very similar to her normal movement, making it harder to 'turn' in time. 'Coven' has great SFX, but 'Spirit Blossom' is the competitive edge.
'Spirit Blossom' is the pay-to-win choice; the sound effects are smoother and the R animation is slightly more deceptive. 'Coven' is visually stunning, but the R screech is a dead giveaway. 'Eternum' feels sharp for kiting, but the red particles can be hard to see.
When They Ban Cassiopeia
Ryze is the closest 'machine gun' feel. Syndra if you want the lane dominance. If you pick Kayle, accept that you won't be a champion for 15 minutes. Stick to Ryze if you have the fingers for it.
Ryze offers the same 'Machine Gun Mage' playstyle with high DPS and root setups. Syndra provides high burst and control if you want to be more lane-dominant. Kayle is the late-game scaling assurance alternative if you just want to farm and win.
Best Runes for Cassiopeia
Conqueror is mandatory. Cassio stacks it instantly with E spam. Presence of Mind (you need mana), Legend: Haste (or Tenacity), Last Stand. Secondary Sorcery: Manaflow Band and Transcendence. You need Mana and Haste. Phase Rush is an alternative if you are against a team of slows (Nasus/Zilean), but Conqueror 1v9s harder.
Cassiopeia's Skill Order
Max E (Twin Fang) first; it's your machine gun. Max Q second for the movement speed and poison damage. Max W last (utility). Upgrade R whenever possible.
Mastering Cassiopeia's Kit
Noxious Blast. Blasts an area with poison. If it hits a champion, you gain Movement Speed. This is your kiting tool. Land Q -> Run Fast -> E spam.
Miasma. Spews venom in an arc. Enemies in the cloud are GROUNDED (cannot use movement abilities like Flash, Dash, Blink) and poisoned. Use this to trap mobile carries.
Twin Fang. Your main damage. Deals massive bonus damage to poisoned targets and heals you. Refunds mana if it kills the target. Treat this like your Auto-Attack.
Petrifying Gaze. Blasts enemies in a cone. Stuns them if they face you, slows them if they face away. The ultimate 'Turn' ability.
Cassiopeia's Best & Worst Matchups
Skill Matchup. His Windwall (W) blocks your E (Twin Fang). If he windwalls, back off. Your W stops him from sliding (E). Ground him and kill him. Do not ult if he has windwall up.
Volatile. He heals a lot, you heal a lot. If he steals your ult, be ready to turn away. Buy Anti-Heal early (Oblivion Orb).
Nightmare. Her mobility is too high. If you miss W, she kills you. Play safe and farm. Rush Rylai's to slow her down.
No Boots Ego
Stop missing Q! If you miss Q, you are a sitting duck. Your E deals no damage without poison. Practice your Q placement—predict where they will last hit. Also, STOP trying to buy boots. You literally cannot. Buy an early Dark Seal instead.
Since you don't buy boots, you actually hit your item spikes faster gold-wise. Use that 1100 gold difference to buy a Dark Seal or a Ruby Crystal. It makes your early-game surprisingly durable.
Stop missing Q! If you miss Q, you are a sitting duck with no damage. Your E tickles without poison. Also, stop trying to buy boots. You literally cannot. Buy an early Dark Seal instead and snowball your lead.
When Scaling Isn't an Option
Dodge Xerath and Vel'Koz. They out-range you so hard you will never touch them. Also dodge Olaf; he can run through your R and W with his Ragnarok and run you down.
Xerath will poke you out before you can even get in range. Olaf is your nightmare—his R ignores your Miasma and Ult. If you see him, just run. There is no outplay, only survival.
Dodge Xerath and Vel'Koz. They out-range you so hard you will never touch them without Flash. Olaf is also a nightmare; he runs through your Miasma and Ult with Ragnarok. You simply cannot peel him.
Positioning for Maximum Damage
You are the carry. Do not dive. Front-to-back. Melt the tank with Q-E-E-E. Save your W (Miasma) for when their assassin (Zed/Akali) tries to jump on you; throw it at your feet. Hold your R. The threat of your R is stronger than the R itself. Wait for them to commit to a dive, THEN R. If you R too early, they turn away.
Common mistake is trying to Ult three people. Just Ult the one person who is about to kill you. A self-peel Ult is often more valuable than a 5-man stun that you die immediately after. You are the DPS—stay alive.
The DPS Mage Build
Rylai's Crystal Scepter -> Cosmic Drive. You are now fast, and they are slow. You can kite melee champions infinitely. Finish with Rabadon's and Liandry's. You have 6 items slots, remember? You will have 1000+ AP late game.
Rylai's is mandatory for the kiting. Liandry's for the melt. Seraph's for the shield. If they have three tanks, go Void Staff. Your E spam with 40% CDR is the highest sustained magic damage in the game.

Cassiopeia's Power Spikes
Level 2 (All-in potential). Tear Stacks (Seraph's Embrace completion). Level 16 (Full build + no boots slot advantage).
Level 2 is your first kill window. Archangel's completion is your second. Level 16 with a full 6th item (like Deathcap) is when you become God. Respect your mana pool until you have Tear and Lost Chapter.
Level 2 is your first all-in window if you land Q. Seraph's Embrace completion is your mana stability spike. Level 16 with a full 6th item is when you outscale everyone. Respect your mana pool until you have Tear stacked.
The Miasma Trap
Learn to 'Orbwalk' perfectly. If you kite well enough, they WILL call you a scripter. Lean into it. Type ':)' when they accuse you. Use the 'Cassiopeia Squeeze' emote when they die to poison.
W stops dashes. Use it against Yasuo, Irelia, or Zac. Land it under them and watch them panic as they realize their mobility is gone. Type 'grounded' in all-chat for the perfect tilt.
