Champion Stats
Low elo players fundamentally do not buy anti-heal items effectively. They build their cookie-cutter damage builds while Mundo outheals their entire combo with a single R press. They also try to CC Mundo, not realizing that his passive (Goes Where He Pleases) absorbs the first immobilizing effect and makes him immune. They chase low HP Mundos expecting an easy kill, only for you to press R, turn around with massive bonus AD, and slaughter them. A smurf abuses this 'stat-check' nature to force wins through sheer durability—you don't need to outplay if you can't die.
The CC Chain Start
Start Q (Infected Bonesaw). Hide in the top lane brush before minions arrive. The moment the enemy walks up, throw Q. It slows them heavily and deals current HP percentage damage. Walk up and auto-attack them, then throw another Q as they retreat. If you land both cleavers, you've chunked them for 20-30% HP at Level 1 and established lane priority. Most melee champions don't expect Mundo to deal this much damage early because they think he's 'just a tank'. Repeat this pattern every time they walk up for CS.
Which Dr. Mundo Skin to Use
'Corporate Mundo' is the best skin in the game. Voice lines, car mount, 'stonks' animations. It's pay-to-win for the mental damage alone. 'Mundo Mundo' is funny. Default rework is good.
'Corporate Mundo' is the peak of League design. The car mount alone makes it pay-to-win for the mental advantage. If you don't have it, go for 'Mundo Mundo' for the goofy flex. Avoid the serious skins—Mundo is a joke, act like it.

When They Ban Dr Mundo
Sion is the infinite HP brother. Olaf if you want to be 'unstoppable'. Sett if you want to punch people. If you pick Olaf, remember you aren't nearly as tanky without your R active. Play for the early game.
Sion is the closest infinite-scaling tank. Olaf gives the 'can't be stopped' vibe with Ragnarok. Sett gives the punchy juggernaut style. Sion matches the 'unkillable meatshield' identity best.
Optimal Runes for Dr. Mundo
Grasp of the Undying. Demolish (you take towers via headbutt), Conditioning, Overgrowth. Secondary Approach Velocity (mandatory to stick to Q targets) and Magical Footwear.
Dr. Mundo's Ability Priority
Max Q first for the poke and slow. Max E second for the raw AD and waveclear. Max W last.
Dr. Mundo's Lane Opponents
Hard. True damage and immunity while you try to throw cleavers. Not fun.
Easy. Your passive absorbs his blind (no wait, blind isn't immobilize). But your Q outranges him and you heal his poison. Run him down with R.
Vayne top is Dodge-on-sight. She'll out-scale your health with her W and kite you forever. Against Teemo, you win once you have a Negatron Cloak. Just walk at him and throw cleavers—he can't blind your bonks.
CC Whiff Syndrome
Stop pressing R at full HP! Maximum Dosage (R) gives initial HP based on MISSING HP (rework mechanics vary, but generally gaining HP). Use it when you are around 30-40% to maximize the bait and heal. Also, PICK UP YOUR CANISTER. Your passive drops a chem-tank. Picking it up reduces CD and heals you.
Your E passive gives you bonus AD based on missing HP. The lower you are, the harder you hit. Use this to win baits you have no business winning. Mundo is a master of the 1% HP outplay.
When Your Engage Gets Peeled
Dodge Vayne or Kog'Maw. % Max HP damage shreds you. You cannot itemize against them. Also Gwen.
You have no 'engage'. You have a 'walk at them' button. If they have Vayne or Kog'Maw, you'll never reach them. In teamfights, your job is to soak enough damage for your ADC to do the work. You are a damage sponge.
Dodge Vayne or Kog'Maw. % Max HP damage shreds you instantly. You cannot itemize against Vayne. You are just a walking health pack for her to lifesteal off. Avoid at all costs.
The Engage Timing
In teamfights, you dive the carry. Q the ADC to slow them. Walk up. E auto reset (headbutt). Activate W to soak burst. If they CC you, your passive eats it. If you get low, R aggressively to run them down. You are a damage sponge.
Wait for them to use their main slow/CC, then press Ghost and R. Walk through their team like they don't exist. Q the ADC repeatedly. You don't need mechanics; you just need to be more annoying than they can handle.
The Frontline Build
Crit Mundo (E max). Titanic Hydra -> Phantom Dancer -> LDR. Your E gives massive bonus AD based on missing HP. If you crit with 400 AD, you one-shot people with a headbutt.
Heartsteel into Sunfire is the core. If they have AP, go Spirit Visage—it doubles your R healing. Crit Mundo is funny but you'll die in 2 seconds. Stick to the HP stacking for the 10,000 HP dream.

Timing Dr. Mundo's All-Ins
Level 11 (Rank 2 Ult). Heartsteel completion. Once you have Heartsteel stacks, your E bonk is nuclear.
Heartsteel completion is your 'champion' entry. Once you have it, you start the infinite scaling. Level 11 and 16 R upgrades make you unkillable in a 5v5. Mundo goes where he pleases—usually into their base.
Level 11 (Rank 2 Ult) makes you nearly unkillable. Heartsteel completion is your main spike; start stacking immediately. Once you have stacks, your E bonk hits like a truck.
The Peel Machine
Type 'Mundo go this way!' when splitting. Spam the 'stonks' emote (Corporate Skin). Just walking through their team without attacking anyone is a power move.
Type 'Mundo think you are fired!' after killing the ADC as Corporate Mundo. It's the highest form of professional BM. Pinging your 8000 HP bar while their turret does zero damage is the ultimate flex.
Type 'Mundo go this way!' when splitting and ignore the enemy team. Spam the 'stonks' emote. Just walking through their team to kill the ADC without attacking anyone else is the ultimate power move.
