26.7

Champion buffs, nerfs, adjustments, and system changes

3 Buffs 6 Nerfs 1 Adjustment 1 System

Patch 26.7 preview is here and it's a nerf-heavy patch. Six champions getting hit, only three getting buffed, and one adjustment for the freshly reworked Shyvana. Riot is clearly in cleanup mode after 26.6 shook things up.

The headline is the support farming penalty being completely removed. That's right — gone. After loosening it in 26.6, Riot decided the mechanic has outlived its purpose. Mage supports everywhere are celebrating.

On the champion side, the Cassiopeia buff is interesting because she just got buffed in 26.6 and they're doubling down. Kalista and Rell are getting meaningful power. Meanwhile Graves, Karma, Nami, Ornn, Singed, and Veigar are all catching nerfs — some of these are pretty targeted.

Shyvana's fury generation is getting reworked from a flat passive rate to a scaling system tied to Ultimate Haste. That's a meaningful change to how she builds and plays.

Champion Buffs

Three buffs this cycle. Cassiopeia is getting more love after her 26.6 changes, Kalista's E AD scaling is going up, and Rell is getting a proper power injection across E and R.

Cassiopeia

Cassiopeia
Back-to-back buffs. Riot clearly wants Cass to be a real mid lane pick again. More base mana and more E damage on poisoned targets — same levers as 26.6 but pushed further.

  • Base Mana: 450 >>> 480
  • E Bonus Magic Damage: 20/43/66/89/112 >>> 20/45/70/95/120

Kalista

Kalista
Kalista's E rend stacks have been underperforming in extended trades. The AD scaling per additional stack is going up across the board, which rewards her for kiting and stacking spears.

  • E AD scaling on bonus damage per additional stack: (+20/25/30/35/40% AD) >>> (+20/27.5/35/42.5/50% AD)

Rell

Rell
Rell's been struggling to find a spot in the meta. She's getting more movespeed on E, a bigger MS boost, and a significant R damage increase with higher AP scaling.

  • E MS: 3s of 10%, increased to 25% while facing ally/visible enemy >>> 3s of 15%, increased to 30%
  • R Damage: 120/200/380 (+110% AP) >>> 150/250/350 (+110% AP)

Champion Nerfs

Six nerfs. This is where the patch gets busy. Graves loses base AD, Karma's shield is getting toned down, Nami's W bounce modifier is getting hit, Ornn's Brittle is weaker, Singed R stats are down, and Veigar's R cooldown is going up.

Graves

Graves
Graves has been a top-tier jungler for a while now. -2 base AD doesn't sound like much, but on a champion who auto-attacks constantly and builds lethality, it adds up across every trade and clear.

  • Base AD: 68 >>> 66

Karma

Karma
Mantra E has been too strong in organized play. The primary and secondary target shields are both going down — the secondary target shield takes the bigger hit, which specifically targets her teamfight utility.

  • R+E Bonus Primary/Secondary Target Shield: 50/100/150/200 (+45% AP) >>> 45/85/125/165 (+45% AP)

Nami

Nami
Nami's W bounce has been overperforming. The base modifier is getting doubled in the negative direction, and the AP scaling per bounce is going up — which means the bounce decays faster but scales harder with items. Net nerf for support Nami, slight buff for full AP Nami (all 12 of you).

  • W Bounce Modifier: -10% (+10% per 100 AP) >>> -20% (+15% per 100 AP)

Ornn

Ornn
Brittle has been doing too much damage, especially in the mid-game. The max HP damage range is getting tightened — lower ceiling at all levels, with the early game taking the biggest hit.

  • Brittle Trigger Damage: 10-18% Target Max HP (Levels 1-18) >>> 9-16% Target Max HP (Levels 1-18)

Singed

Singed
Singed R has been giving too many stats for a champion who's already hard to deal with when ahead. The bonus stats are going down at all ranks.

  • R Bonus Stats: 25/60/95 >>> 25/55/85

Veigar

Veigar
Veigar's R has been available too often. The cooldown is going up at all ranks, with the biggest increase at rank 1. This means he can't just delete someone every minute in the mid-game.

  • R Cooldown: 100/80/60s >>> 120/90/60s

Champion Adjustments

Shyvana

Shyvana
The VGU just dropped in 26.6 and Riot's already tuning her fury generation. Instead of a flat passive rate, Ultimate Haste now directly amplifies all fury generation. This changes her itemization — Cosmic Drive and other haste items become more attractive.

  • Ultimate Haste provides passive 0.015 fury generation per second >>> Ultimate Haste amplifies all fury generation by 1% per 1 Ultimate Haste

This is a meaningful shift for Shyvana's build path. The old system gave flat fury gen per point of Ultimate Haste. The new system is multiplicative — it amplifies ALL fury sources (autos, abilities, passive) by 1% per point. At 30 Ultimate Haste, that's 30% more fury from everything. It rewards aggressive play more than the flat system did.

System Changes

One system change, but it's a big one.

Support Farming Penalty: Removed

After loosening the penalty in 26.6, Riot has decided to remove it entirely. The mechanic was originally added to prevent multiple support items on one team, but that's been impossible for a while now. Supports can now freely farm waves when covering lanes, roaming, or in late-game scenarios without any penalty.

This was coming. In 26.6 they raised the pre-5 minute threshold from 7 to 24 kills and the post-5 minute threshold from 20 to 30 per 5 minutes. Now they're just pulling the plug entirely. The mechanic was a relic from a different era of the game.

For support players, this is pure quality of life. No more accidentally losing gold because your Brand E bounced to a minion during a trade. No more getting punished for clearing a wave while your ADC is dead. You still won't want to actively farm lanes (your support item quest needs you to not be last-hitting), but the penalty for incidental CS is gone.

What This Means for the Meta

This is a correction patch. Riot buffed a bunch of stuff in 26.6 and now they're pulling back on what overshot.

The Cassiopeia double-buff is the most interesting thing here. She got mana and E damage in 26.6, and now she's getting even more of both. Riot clearly has a target winrate in mind for her and she hasn't hit it yet. If you're a Cass player, this is your patch cycle.

Kalista getting E scaling is the kind of buff that separates good Kalista players from great ones. The base damage is unchanged — it's the per-stack scaling that's going up. So if you're landing 2-3 spears and rending, the difference is small. But if you're stacking 6-7 spears in an extended fight, the damage increase is substantial.

The Rell buffs are real. More movespeed on E means she can actually engage without feeling like she's running through mud, and the R damage going from 120 to 150 at rank 1 is a 25% increase. She might actually see play again.

On the nerf side, Graves losing 2 base AD is the classic Riot "we know this champion is strong but we don't want to gut them" nerf. It'll shave a few percent off his winrate without changing how he plays. Karma's shield nerf is more targeted — it specifically hits her Mantra E teamfight power, which is what makes her oppressive in pro play.

The Veigar R cooldown change is interesting. At rank 1, going from 100s to 120s is a 20% increase. That's one fewer ult per mid-game teamfight cycle. At rank 3 it's unchanged at 60s, so late-game Veigar is the same. This specifically targets his mid-game spike where he starts one-shotting people.

FAQ

When does LoL Patch 26.7 go live?

Patch 26.7 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2026 based on Riot's official patch schedule. OCE and Asian servers typically get the patch first, with NA and EU following later in the day.

Which champions are getting buffed in Patch 26.7?

Three champions are receiving buffs: Cassiopeia (base mana 450 to 480, E bonus damage up), Kalista (E AD scaling per additional stack increased), and Rell (E movespeed up, R damage increased).

Which champions are getting nerfed in Patch 26.7?

Six champions are receiving nerfs: Graves (base AD 68 to 66), Karma (R+E shield values reduced), Nami (W bounce modifier doubled in negative direction), Ornn (Brittle max HP damage reduced), Singed (R bonus stats down), and Veigar (R cooldown increased at ranks 1 and 2).

What's changing with Shyvana in Patch 26.7?

Shyvana's fury generation from Ultimate Haste is being reworked. Instead of a flat 0.015 passive fury per second per point of Ultimate Haste, it now amplifies all fury generation by 1% per point. This is a multiplicative change that rewards aggressive play and makes haste items more valuable on her.

Is the support farming penalty really being removed?

Yes. After loosening it significantly in Patch 26.6, Riot is fully removing the support item farming penalty in 26.7. Supports can now farm waves freely when covering lanes without any gold penalty. The mechanic was a relic from when multiple support items could be stacked on one team.
