The average League of Legends game lasts 25-35 minutes. Ranked games tend to run longer (30-35 minutes) because players are more coordinated and make fewer mistakes. Normal games are shorter (25-30 minutes) because the skill gap is wider.
ARAM games are the fastest at 15-20 minutes since there's only one lane and constant teamfights. URF and other rotating game modes are even faster at 10-15 minutes.

Why Do Games Last 25-35 Minutes?
League is designed around a 30-minute average. Here's why:
Early game (0-15 min): Laning phase. Players farm, trade, and try to get ahead. First tower falls around 10-12 minutes.
Mid game (15-25 min): Teamfights start. Teams contest objectives (dragons, Baron, towers). Most games are decided here.
Late game (25-35 min): One team has a clear advantage. They push for Baron, break base, and end. If teams are even, games go to 40+ minutes.
Death timers scale: At 30 minutes, death timers are 40-50 seconds. One teamfight win = you can end the game. That's why most games end around 30 minutes.
How to End Games Faster
Take objectives after kills. Don't recall after a teamfight win. Push towers, take Baron, or end the game.
Don't chase kills. Kills don't win games, objectives do. Take the tower instead of chasing the 1 HP support.
Group for Baron. At 20 minutes, Baron spawns. If you're ahead, group and take it. Baron buff lets you end games in one push.
Push waves before objectives. Slow push side lanes before contesting Baron or Dragon. If you win the fight, the waves are already pushing and you can end.
Don't throw at Nexus. If you're at their Nexus, hit the Nexus. Don't dive fountain for kills. Just end.
Why Do Some Games Go 40+ Minutes?
Teams are even. If both teams are equally skilled, neither can get a decisive advantage. Games drag on.
No one groups. If your team won't group for objectives, you can't end. You're stuck farming side lanes.
Throws. One team gets Baron, then throws at the enemy base. The other team gets Baron, then throws. Repeat until 50 minutes.
Scaling comps. If both teams have late-game scaling (Kayle, Kassadin, Vayne), they stall until 40+ minutes.
Fastest Way to Climb: Win Fast
Play early game champions. Pantheon, Renekton, Lee Sin. Snowball early and end at 25 minutes.
Take objectives. Every kill should lead to a tower, dragon, or Baron. Don't waste time.
Don't AFK farm. If you're ahead, group and end. Don't farm side lanes for 10 minutes.
Dodge unwinnable lobbies. If your team has 4 late-game scalers and the enemy has early game, dodge. You'll lose 90% of the time.
